Mistakes That Can Make a Conference Fail Miserably

Certain mistakes are capable of making a conference fail miserably.

The first mistake that can make a conference fail miserably is lack of proper logistical planning. This can lead to a situation where, for instance, the venue that was meant to host the conference turns out to be too small for the event.  Worse still, this can also lead to a situation where the venue that was meant to host the conference turns to be totally unavailable: meaning that the conference doesn’t take place at all.

The second mistake that can make a conference fail miserably is lack of proper marketing. It is simple: if you are to get people to attend a conference, you surely need to make them know about the conference, when it will be held, where it will be held, what it will focus on… and so on. If you don’t do this, you can expect the conference to be poorly attended, and that would then lead to it being referred to as a failed conference.

The third mistake that can make a conference fail miserably is poor timing. If you have the conference taking place during the point in time when people are occupied with other things, you can’t expect them to leave more important engagements to attend it. So it will end up failing.
